Two Week Freeze CONTINUES STATEWIDE Nov 18 - Dec 2

Case counts remain high at about 1000 cases per day. Today's death rate was a record 21 deaths and hospitalizations hit another record of 474, which are both a result of the recent spikes in cases.

Oregon's statewide Two-Week Freeze is intended to stop the rapid spread of COVID-19 across Oregon. The risk reduction measures are critical in limiting the spread, reducing risk in communities more vulnerable to serious illness and death, and helping conserve hospital capacity so that all Oregonians can continue to have access to quality care. Announcement here.

A letter to legislators from Oregon’s health care community (Oregon Medical Association, Oregon Nurses Association, and the Oregon Association of Hospitals and Health Systems) asks, "Oregon’s nurses, physicians, physician assistants, and hospitals need your help in order to do our jobs well. As we head into a new year and conceive of the potential for a better 2021, we urge responsible celebration this holiday season to prevent death and hospitalization."
